• Ram Air or Cold Air Intake

What exactly is the difference between the two? I know ram air is more expensive but does it have the same effects/gains as a cold air intake?

I know that there isn't much difference in gain..personally I'd just go with cold air intake and save yourself A LOT of money.

I'm planning on buying a ram air hood just for the looks so I figured I'd get ram air, but does it add any other sounds to the car (like air swooshing under the hood) and what gains would I see,<-- I have a complete custom exhaust.

when you get a ram air hood, get either the raptor or the ram air H.O. they have bigger air inlets than the ws6 as well as allow more air into the engine bay. buy the ws6 ram air lower box and install it. cold air intake helps all the time, ram air intakes help when going higher speeds. the ws6 pkg. and hood do both.

you can get more air to your engine by going RAM air. Just look at the setups of the two. If you are looking for most power get the RAM Air, and get the Raptor Hood like they said.

You won't see 15Hp, but you might see 10hp from the air kit and maybe 2 more from the removed weight of the stock hood. That fiberglass will lighten your front end up!
