  • IAT Free Mod....??

I did the free IAT mode where you move the sensor closer to the air filter. I did this last night and this morning it thru an SES light after I cranked it. I have not had a chance to scan the code just yet. It is in the shop today having LSD/3.42 installed.

Is this usually a case of where the IAT sensor is telling the PCM to run to rich/lean based on the intake air temp...???

I know some of you have this same mod. Did you get an SES light, and how did you get rid of it..??

    just adding \'um \'till I trap 12.393...

yep, when I went by the tranny shop I noticed that I did not have the female end plugged into the sensor...

What an stupid mistake, I was just in a hurry and forget to pull the female part of the sensor out of the stock air box.... duh...!!

Anyway, thanks for the help. You were dead on..!!

BTW, with the clean intake and Flowmaster exhaust the throttle response is A LOT BETTER...!!! All thru the RPM range...

I would have got my LSD/3.42 combo today but the diff had a whine to it, sounded like a bearing. The shop is going to swap the part tomorrow... oh well, one more day 'til, I can light 'em both up...!!!

      14.5 1/4 here I come...

      ;) ;)

don't muck with the IAT sensor. I pluged a resistor in to trick it to run more rich (for more horsepower) and well I ran 0.1sec slower with it. Just leave it alone.

I am not adding a resistor, just moving the position of it closer to the K&N air filter. It will still be in the intake path.
