  • RK Sport headers really do suck

What a PITA these things are. I should have gotten CIAs again!
Okay so at least everything has been put on. I only have one leak on the driver's side (the godawful annoying tick!) but everything else is alright now. They went on fine, but the Y pipe blows. I ended up taking it to a shop to put on the Corsa at the same time, and they cut and reshaped the Y pipe for me as well.
Corsa sounds sweet. Under WOT i think it rices out a tad but it might be b/c of that leak. It is a rather large one. If it still does that i'll throw on a bullet inline with the I pipe to smoothen it out.
It's so nice inside though. So quiet at idle and under load. WOT screams of course but it doesn't shake the car like a madman. Even high RPM cruising is very quiet.
    And, the tips...........WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

So why exactly do the headers blow?

They leak and they are POS's. Just nowhere near the quality of CIA's.

I agree. They leak and the EGR doesnt hook up right. Other than that RKSPORT header aint bad. But Im not a big fan of the Y pipe design.

EGR is no big thing really. The adapter on the EGR has no threads. So you either need to put a tap to it and make threads or use a bolt with a nut.

that is soo stupid....did you guys check the inside of the headers to make sure none of the weld protruded into the headers? Tom looked at mine and found where the weld was poking out on the inside and said it would be best to gring that sucker down

Only problem is CIA headers are too expensive.
