How does a cutout sound on stock piping with the 3.8? I was thinking about doing this. Also, why wouldn't the muffler shop I went to put bigger piping on my car because of the O2 sensor? That just seems retarded that they couldnt do that.

How does it sound? Like a cat being raped IMO. It sounded like crap above 2000RPM. I felt so stupid driving around with it. It sounds like a honda on drugs. Others may like it and that fine but you could not pay me enough money to drive around with a cutout again!

Mine sounds really deep and throaty. Its after the cat on the I-pipe like 12" after cat. I also have 3" piping and a SLP CAI (prob. doesnt matter)

Do a search, this sam thread has occured MANY times, but anyway, mine is right before my muffler. I like it alot, doesn't sound ricey unless revved in park, or above 4000rpm on the road actually driving.

I have a cutout installed where the cat USED to be. The pipe on which the cutout is installed is 3", made that way so it can fit the collector on the y-pipe. After that I have 2.5" all the way back to the muffler, the cutout is nice and deep all the way to 4000 RPM, very raspy above that but I like the sound. Sounds nothing like a Honda, just a pissed off 6. :D
