SLP intake dyno anyone?

Ive been searching around the boards, and cant find anyone who dynoed before and after installing the SLP CAI.

has anyone done it, modded car or not?

I have the FTRA and although I haven't dyno'd before and after it is supposed to pick up like 15 or so at the crank I believe.
But that is also going like above 40...doesnt help much when you're not moving...because no air is going in it.

has to with my hood down I can look into my nostrils and see my filter =) that has to be good for some horsepower =)

Heh well I was being a bit sarcastic.
But either way...not to many folk can say they've got ported nostrils on their bird.

put it this way.. its the ultimate cold air.. air comes directly from outside the engine bay into my intake instead of from under the car or through the radiator like other CAIs. Also keeps cold air flowing through the engine bay pushing hot air out.

Sounds impressive...but I think I'll just stick with my ftra...maybe some day if I'm bored I'll port my nostrils...hard to say for sure if I ever will.

Eventually I'll get around to breaking the sheet metal and finish the piping for the nostrils so I don't loose air into the hood.

That was really my biggest concern in doing it.
I toyed with the idea about 2 months ago...but I decided I'd probably lose to much air and wanted to wait till I had some parts to make it work right.

nah I noticed a big difference on highway basically in throttle response the air lost into the hood is vented back into the engine bay basically ontop of the engine lol.

With the way you have them right now do you have any piping at all directing it?
Or is it just blowing in there and some of it happens to go in the right place? ;)
