Hey Guys, I just got a 96 RS and was planning on putting an Intake on it. I just couldn't decide which to install, KandN or SLP. I was hoping i could get some advice as to which would perform better or easier to install. Thanks.

I do not have any experience w/ the k&n, but I do have the SLP in my car. The SLP seems to be the most popular, you could do a search for "Intake" or "SLP" and I bet you'll get A LOT of posts on this board.
As for the SLP, it was kind of a pain to get in, had to take a few things off, but eventually got it in and LOVE it! Increased throttle response, louder exhaust tone, and not to mention performance increase. I give it a and would recommend it.
Good luck ;)http://www.pbase.com/danny83/root
http://community.webshots.com/user/ttopbird96
00 NMB Formula M6
323.4HP, 336.5TQ
Lid, Filter, Cutout, all else stock :)
\"Let the modding begin!\"

The only one I've had is the SLP but I would definitly recommend it.
The install isn't too difficult and it looks pretty cool under the hood compared to the K&N which is just a piece of plastic.
Performance wise they're probably pretty much the same.94 Firebird, 3.4 V6, Red, M5
SLP CAI, Accel 8mm Superstock Wires, Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs, Borla Exhaust, BMR Strut Tower Brace, 180* Thermostat, B&M Ripper Shifter
http://www.cardomain.com/id/94bird

K&N does not make a 3800 CAI. But, you can use the LT1 if you get a 1LE intake elbow (which is what SLP uses on their CAI for the 3800).Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
