Well, it cost me $60 for the new 2.75" pipe and labor together. Here's the mods I have so you can get a better idea:
SLP CAI
No Cat, Replaced By 2.5" pipe w/cutout
2.75" I-Pipe
Results are mixed.
1. Quite noticeably deeper tone throughout, not as loud, sounds much better at high speeds than before.
2. Noticeably less torque, not amazing difference but is noticeable. Car used to pick up a lot around 40-45 now around 50, but when it does pick up a bit later it takes off. Put it to the floor from 65 and it flew to 90+ in no time.
3. I'm aiming for a upper RPM/MPH power range so this is good news for me. My 3.08 open rear and 2.75" I-pipe are doing this well.
4. New track times as of yesterday after installing the I-pipe:
1/8 Mile: 9.891
60 ft: 2.299
MPH: 73.45
R/T: 0.576
1/4 Mile: 15.4
MPH: 90.9!
Hope this is helpful, I did not burn out at all (obviously) and the weather was warm and humid. The car is very quick overall, but takes a bit of pushing to get to the power, as a high RPM cam might. Overall I like it, just need to get the small new rattle fixed.
