  • can someone clarify some things for me

ok, in refrence to my last post, I have been looking around at summitracing.com and I found a cat back borla, now, my stuped question is, after looking at pictures of it does it include the S pipe and the plate to bolt right onto the cat? or do you need to work it into the existing pipe?
2nd, it also sais it is ajustible with different plates to alter the sound if that is true then why? does the V6 sound that wierd that you need to ajust it?

I got this from RKsport, they were the only ones with a good picture; on the right side where it goes over the axle and goes into the muffiler why is there a split there? does it have a cutout? I am really curious as to how it all goes together I am thinking a winter prodject.
also in that picture I dont see the S pipe, did they just leave it out or do you have to find your own?

thanks again f body brothers and sisters

With the borla exhaust system, the uses can adjust how loud they want there car to sound. Where it looks like there is a cut off, there is a removable plate to insert with differing hole sizes. Do a search for borlas home page, they'll have more info.

I got my Borla and it came with everything you need. I was able to unclamp the old one and remove it in one piece. With installation there is no cutting involved.

With regards to the plates, they give you the ability to run the exhaust straight out of one pipe, or run the exhaust partially or fully through the muffler. I think the medium plate sounds the best.

One last thing, you may want to do a search for un-happy Borla owners. They are notorious for rattling.

Mine onl rattled when I had the cross member support on there. You just need to make sure you position it right when going over teh axle. If not it will rest on teh panhard bar.
