• considering closing up my Free ram air hole, should I ?

I probibly did the cut in march and I have fliped my filter a dozen times, it just gets so dirty now and I am tired of it being that way, should I? I liked it when I did it because it made the stock muffiler louder but other then that I dont knoe. I was thinking of duct taping a piece of plastic in there.

Thats why I didn't cut mine on my new 02 Camaro - I simply raised the box 1/2".

It was so effective I consider it just as good as the FRA, and so now I sell the kits on ebay to anyone who want a raised airbox for really cheep. Its like having the WS6 airbox without it being too tall and hitting the hood

I had the free ram air, and raised the airbox. I finally closed the free ram air back off this weekend.

There's plenty of air that gets through the front of the car, and I didn't like drawing hot air up through there while sitting in the staging lanes.

Putting a piece of plastic in there was in the way of the radiator support, so I just put racing tape back over it.

If i were you i would just tape it off. I had to replace mine when i put in my FTRA cause i broke it. It was $95 at one delership and $120 at another> So unless you want to spent the cash tape it off with a pice of plastic.
