Zooomer at zzzperformance says he can port a 96-97 tb for us 96-97 guys, I know a guy who has the rat tb and shaved .2 off his 1/4 time so spending 179.00 for .2 is definately worth it in my book, so many guys spend 500.00+ on headers for questionable gains.Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,

True. Does anyone know the circumfrence/ mm measurement of the rat tb? I dont know you guys think this is a worthwile mod for someone who is going to keep his car n/a? Or would it best be suited for like a sc or something? Maybe we can hit them up on a Gp? I just dont like the idea I gotta give my Tb to them.1997 30th Anniversary A4 w/ some mods

Why would you spent $100's of dollars for a 2mm increase? Polish the stock TB and/or do the 99+ MAF mod (if you have a early TB).Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

You could do that if you had the skill and the tools. I don't have any of their data on the increased flow velocity which they claim is the basis of the performace benefit, but $179 for +7hp and +10ftlbs of torque isn't all that bad, if in fact our gains would be similar. It may also help if you plan on doing a nice forced induction setup later.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com

You guys should just Email and ask if you have any questions. We have excellent customer service and very fast Email response. Just ask the 96 guys who are looking into getting their PCM's redone.
RAT went out of business for poor customer service and poorly performing mods. Do a search on ClubGP and you'll see why they no longer sell mods.
In the Stage 1 TB we do not do any MAF recals. We only do the outlet. It's bored out from 65 to 68mm. We also machine the rod into a trapezoid shape, replace the plate with a larger one and use low profile button head screws to secure it. The rear in hand blended into the oval for smooth mating to the intake plenum. The cores are bead blasted after disassembly so they all look very good. We replace all the security screws with stainless socket head bolts. We do the same mods on 1996-2003
I think even a do-it-yourselfer would have a hard time competing with our pricing.
We advertise a 5 engine HP gain but our latest customer to dyno gained 10 ft pounds of torque, power through the entire RPM range and saw a HP increase of around 7 AT THE WHEELS.
We have been doing this for a while and we are the best. No one comes close. Our 97 GP has run 11.82 with the factory power adder and no nitrous, our GT powered by a 110k mile L36 just ran 12.3 with our CSC kit. We are the fastest. Our customer service is excellent.
If you have ANY doubts what-so-ever about the performance our the Stage 1 TB , just click over on Club GP and do a search in the L36 forum. People love them, they can't say enough good about them. In fact you will not find 1, that's right, not a single post with something bad to say about our Stage 1 L36 TB's.
Soon we will be offering Stage 2 TB's with even greater gains but right now it looks like they will only be for the 99+, as the older ones take way to long to cal.

It is true our stock TB's are huge, but the larger the throttle body is the slower the initial velocity of incoming air is.
The velocity is the same through the intake runners due to the size being the same.
This initial "keep it slow" stage allows for more acceleration of atmospheric air into the cyls, and mass * accel = force. This extra force literally pushes a wee bit more air into the cyl than otherwise would occur, and so you see hp gains.
The hp gains are not because "the engine breathes easier" because alas the intake plenum and heads stayed the same!
Zoomer - you kick a$$. Keep it up :D

How big is the hole of the intake. Is it the same as the TB now? 65? Or is it bigger? I was wondering cause if it's 65, making the TB bigger shouldn't make much difference then. What will stage 2 include? Just the MAF calibration on top of stage 1?

The stage 2 work includes streamlining the MAF sensor, redoing the inlet of the MAF sensor for recaled flow, removing material from the inlet, and a full polish to the inlet.
The stock L36 intake plenum is not round, it is oval. Going to a TB larger than the 68 we bore to would create a lip at the top and bottom which would reduce air velocity.

Not really a flame, but why would you want an LS1 TB? That thing is alot bigger than an L36, unless you have a blower or something. I don't see it being all that beneficial to a NA car.
DEE

Are they talking about using an LS1 MAF, or LS1 TB? Just in case people don't know, the MAF on the LS1 is separate from the TB, not like ours.
Zoomer, do you have the ability to reprogram the 99+ PCMs with the MAF tables for the LS1, so we can use the LS1 MAF and MAF ends? The plugs appear to be the same, I know the LS1 MAF also has the IAT sensor with it, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue (would it?).
Also, do you happen to know what the stock injector size is for the L36? There's been a debate going on here about whether it's 19lbs/hr, 22lbs/hr, or somewhere in between. Zooomer i thought you emailed me and said you dont have a stage 2 tb for our 3.8 camaros and firebirds just the stage one? How much is the stage two and this includes maf calibration correct? Will we get an ses light with your stage 2 tb?Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,
