• Flowmaster is not loud enough.

I need louder exhaust. I have RKSPORT headers, 3 inch catco, 3 inch s pipe, 3 inch I pipe and a flowmaster muffler with 3.5 inch tail pipes and angle cut tips. Looks really nice and sounds ok but I want it louder.

How does it get any louder than what I already have besides getting a cutout? I was thinking maybe try spintech. what are you all's opinions?

Removal of the cat should make it louder.

I'm not sure spintech will be louder, just different. I think if you want to change the muffler you are going to have to try something glasspack like (as in a Bullet). Basically to get louder than a Flowmaster I think you just need a 3 inch pipe

EDIT: By 3 inch pipe, I mean 3 inch pipe instead of the muffler

he already has a full 3'' cat-back. i think you might have the loudest possible exhaust you can have unless you install a cutout. maybe remove the flowmaster and install a bullet stlye muffler on the i-pipe like on a loudmouth.

You could do an X or H pipe setup. Cut into the Y pipe, then extend it, and then have the crossover, then bullet style mufflers. Borla XR1s would give it a clean sound, dynomax bullets will rasp a bit.

And also use stock LS1 cats before the crossover. Small and flow just right.

          JMHO.

Would a borla catback with open plate be louder?

Well, I wanted louder so I just had the muffler removed yesterday. No cat (replaced by 3" pipe), 2.75" I-Pipe, SLP-style y splitter after pipe comes over the axle, dual/dual tips. I absolutely love the sound. Deep and throaty will idling and cruising around below 3000, raspy and mean sounding above 3000, NOT RICE SOUNDING for all bashers who want to say it is. Either way, this is the best setup I have ever had on and will not change it at all. Just my .02

Do the X pipe, use stock LS1 cats before the crossover, and then use Sweet Thunder chambered mufflers after the X and have turndowns. It should cost you less that $200 in parts, maybe $100 for labor. Lightweight too.

I'm doing this same time as the cam this xmas.
