  • Flowmaster Pops?

    I notice, in park / nutural, when I give the motor alot of gas, the flowmaster makes a poping noise almost ricey...?

    Anyone else have this problem?

    Yeah i do just a (little bit). But wile i am driving it sounds really nice!
    -FLOWMASTER 80 series exhaust dual out,K&N air filter.<br />-Bright Rally Red, 1993 Camaro V6 automatic. No BIG mods yet! But who needs alot of mods when you have 160 hp?       none here...maybe it's because I have a larger I-pipe. It may pop/gurgle a bit if I hold the gear (e.g. let off the gas at 20MPH in 1st) but it sounds more like a gurgle (muscle car type) sound. Maybe we're hearing different sounds. It definately sounds better than the Dynomax in neutral I must say IMO.

        that's what happens when the engine is not getting enough air. doesn't sound like that when you are in a gear.

          listen to it when your engine is under a load. I.E. in drive, sounds completely different

            magic, what rpm did you switch at? I have an a4 and I set mine to switch at 6k at WOT. I wonder if that high of an rpm sounds back with the flowmaster

              I belive there is a rev limiter on a4s at around 4000 rpms in nuetral and park, mine gives that sound in p and n as well. Im pretty sure thats all it is and i wouldnt worrie about it.
