I installed a SLP Cold Air Induction on my car and was wondering if the piece of plastic that goes across the center of my airbox can be taken off. I thought, when I was installing it that the center plastic was made for structural support, but if i can take it off it would give me better air flow.

Heres a picture of my SLP Induction and the plastic across the center:

Probably structural support for that center part, like you said. The airflow difference is so small that it won't make any difference anyways.
