• Should i get a resonator??

i have a flowmaster 40 series catback exhaust system and i love it...the only thing is when i let off the throttle i get a really "raspy" noise and was wondering if a resonator would take this away. I heard you can put it where the cat is or something(mine is gutted anyway)

M5camaro: it sounds really good up top, I have never heard anything close to ricey no matter how high it is reved.I often get confused with having an 8.

GreenDragon:are there any resonators you suggest, about the only thing i have seen are the tips with resonators in them.
thanks alot

I have a dynomax bullet muffler in place of my cat(basically a resonator) and it does make the exhaust rumble nicely. I still have the ricey sound up top however, I think it's cause I still run the 80 series.

when I was getting my catback on they sugested taking off the cat and replacing it with a resonator to take away the rasp witch it did and its only like $15.Just go to your local muffler shop and price out a resonator it doesnt have to be dynomax or any other.Any resonator will do the trick. .And when you get a resonator you will notice your engine will rev faster

Does anybody know if Flowmasters Universal in line resonator would fit my car???
and just mount it where the cat is?
