• My exaust is cracklin, poppin

When im in neutral, or slowing down usually in 2nd or higher, my exaust starts to crackle and kinda pop. Someone told me it may have something to do with what kind of flowmaster i have, but im not sure, any help?

Yep sounds like a trade mark of a flowmaster. This should be in the intake/exhaust section.

yea, i would have put it in that section, but i figured since im pretty much car dumb, that it would be too simple a question to ask in any other topic than general..my bad

I think the pop and crackle in my book is a intimidation factor for other ppl.

It just sounds like cold air going into the hot exhaust tips. It makes a popping sound when you let off the gas.

3" would prob just make it deeper and take somemore rice out but not any popin or cracklin. Resonator would prob take some of that out. Personally I like it and it makes ppl think my car is badder then it is.

I disagree. I think Smaller exhaust tips should cure the popin, and the muffler has the most control over the "rice" sound. My old flowmaster pop'd even w/ headers and a "HF cat", mostly b/c of the 3.5 inch tips.

I love the crackling/rumbling and poping noise. I have a lot more since I took off the cat.

Right after I ran sea foam through I had some really loud poping though, ha ha. Wish I was filming it, there were probably flames shooting out the back. Might have had something to do with one of my spark plug wires getting accidently pulled off too though.
