I have a bad EGR valve, but I have to bite the bullet and spring for a new one since my emissions test is coming up. I get an SES occassionaly, then it will turn off after a few trips.
Do I just take out the old one and install the new one or do I have to get the computer to clear a code? Thats all I need is to install the new EGR and have the same old code pop up. Thanks guys.
dont know about fourth gens , but to clear codes on my 87(when it had an ecm in it :D ) was pull the battery cables , sometimes that didnt work so i pulled the ecm fuse and that worked everytime . like i said , i dont know if 4th gens are different or not . wish i could be of more help [img]smile.gif[/img]
