stock catback is 2.25 right?
alright... plan is.
unhook the catback at the factory clamp, underneath the little "crossmember"
then cut the exhaust just before the CAT.
-Then run a 3 in. pipe, to a 2.25 reduced pipe.
-Then get 2.25 J-bend pipe, cut that pipe. So I can later cut it reverse it 180 degrees and recconect it.
-then have it clamp into the factory clamp.
-Already have a 3 in. pipe.
-2.25 J bend from (Jegs Part # 289-42321 )
-3"-2.25" reducer, with O2 bung (Jegs part # 555-30011 )
Idea behind this is... I replace the CAT, and go form the y-pipe to the I-pipe, with pretty much a mandrel bent 2.25 pipe with an 02 bung. I will keep my stocker 02 in there for now, but when i eventually (or borrow) a wideband, I will hook it up into that bung.
Another question I do have, is how hard and what is the cost of putting in an o2 Bung?(if I decide to not get a bung, and get one later on.)
look for cost of parts is...
Pair of 3"-2.25" with o2 bungs $36.99
2.25" J-bend is $13.99
Pair of 3"-2.25" withOUT 02 bungs is $19.99
Idea in the end is I want to put the cat back on, its just undoing 2 clamps, and putting one piece back in, not too much work.
Thoughts? opinions?
