  • Flowmaster 80 with Dynomax Bullet?

I have tossed the idea of getting a Dynomax Super Turbo because I have heard sound clips and it sounds to quiet and kinda like a turbo car. It doesn't have that "powerful/agressive" tone I'm looking for. I know that it eliminates <3000rpm+ rice, but just not my thing. I Ditched the Flowmaster 80 series 43083 for the same reason. But everyone says if you put a resonator, it will eliminate most of the high rpm rice. So heres my thoughts: Get the 80 and put a Dynomax bullet 2.5"in/out race muffler before the axle. I already have no cat, just a pipe. The Dynomax bullet mufflers have roving fiberglass packing inside to mellow exhaust tone. I am hoping this will stop the high rpm rice. Has anyone else done something similar? BTW, mines a 3.4L
Also, thinking of getting a Spintech muffler instead of Flowmaster 80. Heard they have no raspyness?

I dont know... I was going to do the same thing, I have a flowmaster 40 and was going to put a glass pack on the I-pipe... from what i've heard it smooths out the sound and takes away the "rice" that this thin pipe they use creates... I just need a new welder first... I'll let you know how it sounds... BTW if you find a spintech that's affordable let me know..

glass packs don't last. they burn out and then sound like crap. Flowmaster makes a resonator for 2.5" pipe and uses it on their 3.8 cat-back system. another idea would bet to get a 3" exhaust and find out where SLP gets the resonators in their loudmouth series exhaust from.

Dynomax bullet is not a glasspack and the bullets do last.

I have a bullet sitting in my garage, if someone wants it. Came off my truck, only has like 50 miles on it.
