I went to my local exhaust shop to see how much it'll be to install an SS exhaust in my 3.4. The guy then told me that i'll lose HP cuz of the biger Pipe. So he told me about the Magnaflow rear section and SS tips (10-12hp he told me) for $280 installD. Should i take this offer?, im not sure if its the best one though , is there any other exhausts that is better..
plz need help
Thnx~

Well, 10-12 HP gain is really high. Expect to get more around 1-2 HP if any. The price for the labor, Magna flow muffler and tips seems kinda high, becuase if I remember correctly, to install my Flowmaster and tips the total came to around $200, so I think you should look around and try to find it for cheaper.

i have the magna flow dual exaust(rear section) on my 3.8L it cost me 250 at my local muffler shop with tips, pipes, and mufller, labor. its ok but to tell you the truth some times i dont like the sound . at high rpm i feel like im in a rice honda. trust me invest in a good exaust im eventually going too. hear a flowmastewr before you do anything their reasonable
10-12 HP from a rear section? LOL...I've heard a Magnaflow and didn't like them. One shop swore by them but only because thats what they stock mostly. I noticed shops that carry Flowmasters diss Dynomax and vice versa.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
