  • Deepest/Loudest Sound Available

    I have a ThirdGen with the 3.1L. I want my car to have the loudest/deepest sound that it possibly can. Would do you recommend? I am currently running an 80' Series Flowmaster (Single in Dual Out).

    I hear other cars with V6's and the flowmaster sound, but it is much louder...? Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    gut your cat and use a larger pipe like 3" from the cat back. you will lose lowend but is makes it louder

      Check in a summit catalog.For $25 you can buy a cutout when your putting your new exhaust on. I'm not quite sure how it would sound on a 3.1L I know it sounds really nice for us 3.8 guys. You might want to consider it. If you didn't like it you could just close it anyway. Whats an extra $25 to experiment with?

        I've seen a lot of posts from 3rd Gen. guys who said they really liked the Dynomax Super Turbo, if that helps...

            a cutout won't produce a deep sound per se. It will make it louder, and rumble more...but it just kinda cackles under acceleration. as far as loud and deep goes...from what i can tell, an aftermarket muffler single in, SINGLE OUT does very well. I had a flows 40 on mine, 3" in 3" out, and it was mean and deep. now i have a Z28 dual outlet, it's a lot tamer

              run duals to the rearend and turn them down...without mufflers...
