  • no cat or hiflow cat?

i've got an intake and that's really the only engine mod i've got. i have a single in/out magnaflow (which i've been told is one of the least restrictive mufflers for our cars). my question is this, what is the best performance upgrade i will get out of this setup, removing the cat and just having the 2.25" pipe back to the muffler, or should i get a hiflow cat that will help me more? or should i not even worry about doing either, as though the effects of either will not be that big since i have no nitrous or power adder? thx a lot.

Get a high flow cat. I have 3" exhaust all the way from the "cat" back. It makes the car sound deeper and takes the rice out. Your hp and torque curves are higher so you will have less torque in lower rpms but more in higher. If you wanted to keep moderate backpressure I would go with 2.75 piping.
