My 98 just started running strange. One day it was fine, then the next day it was seeming like it was running with the choke on. Very sluggish, rough idle...Anyway I wanted to check to insure it was getting enough air. When I took off the Whisper lid and air hose I noticed a small amount of oil in the hose and at the bottom of the MAF screen. Anyone know if this is normal or not and where this oil is coming from? The SES is flashing, so I'm going to go to AutoZone and have the code read, but the oil thing seems weird.

Oil in Air Hose?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: \"WOW!!!!, what a ride!\"Tags: None

Sound like a problem with the pcv valve that is at the top of the intake under a black egg shaped plate it could be clogged or stuck uppand and oil is coming up throught the passesge in the Throttle Body. This is a 2 dollar part and real easy to change. You just take th eplate off and pull the old one out and then take the spring off the old one and put it on the new one and install the sam as the old one.
I would also change the oil and oil filter.
