headers, exhaust, same time?

    headers, exhaust, same time?

    ok I have picked out an exhaust that I want to get. Each piece has been picked so I'm ready to start buying. While in the midst of this. I realized that headers are basically in the same area as the exhaust. If I got a catback exhaust and had it installed, would I have to undo previous welds to put on the headers?

    Basically I'm asking if I should get the headers and exhaust at the same time to save work

    But it sounds like the only thing you are going to re-use is the cat. Are you?

    If you are, then the previous welds will be gone and new ones will be made.

      i got my headers, I pipe, S pipe and muffler all put on at the same time. The sound is unreal at idle. So i would recommend doing it at the same time but if you dont wanna spend the 300-500 dollars for headers then dont, the power gain isnt the best, maybe 5 hp 7?
      SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.
