An interesting tid bit i ran into the other day. My cat went out shortly after i began modding my ride. All i had done is a flowmaster, thermo, slp atm, and a fan switch. i wondered what it was, when i took it to the shop to put my catco on the said that stock cats are ment to run for life and that something had caused it (take in mind he had no idea of the mods i had added). he said the thing that typically makes one go out is RUNNING RICH. Then i figured out it was the slp atm that did it. I also replaced my thermo with a new 185* one. The thermo has very little effect on gas effiecency compared to the atm. so shortly i removed the atm. all i can say is pros: my gas mileage has gone up massively, my car runs better in general and the catco added a nice deep tone to the flows. so thats my 2 cents for the day.
