  • Ws6 rear section questions

Alright... so I finally got my Ws6 rear question. The person that had it before me had cut off 2 hangers so there is one on the left tailpipe (left as in looking at the car from the rear) and there is one hanger on the over axle... now, I dont have a problem with the one on the tip but the one on the over axel pipe is what gets me. I am going to cut it off (he left me plenty of extra pipe to work with) near the entrance to the muffler because its larger there (remember I am keeping my system 3 inch) and if I do that, I will be cutting the hanger off.

So, what I am wondering is, is there somewhere to buy hangers (or at least the clamp on kind which will clamp around the entire tailpipe and have a little piece that sticks out which will slide into the rubber pieces? Or do I need someone to weld them on for me???

Also, I want to get more *new* rubber pieces (what the heck do ya call em??? ya know... the rubber hanger thingies). I havent found them yet for our cars.

I am going to call a local garage later this week and ask if they weld and if they put this on for me... I want to do it myself but my dad said for me to go to a professional. I know I can do it, its just if I cut off the pipe thats going into the muffler I will lose a hanger and right now there are only 2 on there. lol I was just going to swap out my magnaflow muffler and put this WS6 one in.

I dont want to take it to Meineke or Monroe or a big name place cause I had a bad experience with Monroe trying to get my rumbler put on a while ago.

i would highly suggest welding on your hangers.
goto any hole in the wall muffler shop, shouldnt cost more then 10 bucks..unless you show a little leg, then you might get away with it for free =)
but if you insist on finding the clamp on type....pepboys sells them, for 6 bucks if im not mistaken.
I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.

Hehehe... quite possibly I will sell the magnaflow but here is the thing. I dont know when or where I am getting this put on and it could be a little while... I hope the one place close to me can weld. The last garage that re adjusted my magnaflow didnt have a welder. DOH!!!

I dont know the part number sorry...

Any idea where i can get new rubber hanger things? I want to replace the old stretched out ones.

I wanted to put it on then drive to the shop so they can weld wherever they have to weld.
