Okay, I port and polished my throttle body on my 1996 3.8 firebird and took out the screen infront of the maf sensor, the car ran fine. Now I plan on getting a dry nitrous kit and everyone says you have to put the screen back in. So i put it back in and now have a service engine light for the code of running too rich. I have no idea on why this problem is occuring, I reset the computer by disconnecteing the battery but the light finally came on again, and if I take the screen out the, no ses light. Please help!!

I kept my screen all along.
...until
I started spraying a really big dry shot.
Then the screen got sucked up into the throttle body. The only thing I can figure, is it frosted over and the vacuum pulled it in. (it was split in thirds and wrapped around the maf sensor! So now I do not run a screen when spraying.
