  • OMG just put my flowmaster system on.(New Link)

OMG thats all I have to say. I got a carsound 94009 cat, the 17143 flowmaster 3in catback, and 3.5in magnaflow tips. It sounds incredible... Just the way I want it, not over bearing loud where you can't hear yourself think in the car, but not too quiet either. I got every single thing welded on perfectly for 80bux. I got like 5 compliments on the car today, one guy asked me if it was a 350? Here's a link to a vid i took tonight of it. The camera sound doesn't doo too much justice but listen to the very end when im turning around!!! You cannot tell me that doesn't sound mean!!!

New link everyone!!! This should be a lot better, unlike geocities where if 3 users download it they'll close the site for a day.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!! I'm really happy with it, sound wise and performance wise. My friend dropped half a second off his time with the system so I know it's good for something.

Snatch - It's a 3inch system from the cat and back, but the outlets on the muffler are 2.5inch. Thats the diff. between the LT1 and LS1 system (LS1 being 3in outlets). I don't think it really matters because the muffler is where the exhaust gasses expand anyway and plus I dont' have like no tailpipe its all 3.5in tip.

there is no way just an exhaust will drop .5 it had to be something else.

                        AHH I understand now.
Ted I was wondering if you could send me the zip file, I bought my computer second hand and the guy had some sort of site rating check and you need a password to change it(which I dont have)and I am unable to download your clip.
I would appreciate it for the fact that I just purchased a flowmaster 80 series muffle alone and wanted to see what the sound differences were.
                        Thanks Shane

Snatch sorry man, the reason I put it on geocities is because I can't send it to anyone through email. I use yahoo and they only let you send 3mb. I was trying to look for my hotmail address or some other email address I might of had but I already wasted too much time. Are you sure you can't download it from there? Did you remember to copy and paste in the bar? It works for me fine right now...

Nino - My friend John on this board has an 02 camaro y87. At englishtown he ran 15.3 consitantly with just a ravin muffler and a cool blue air filter. Since he has converted to a catco cat and the ls1 flowmaster 3in catback, he ran a 14.8 at AIS2. That sounds like half a second to me. And there was nothing else he has done. It isn't too impossible.

When I had my 97 RS. Stock I ran a 16.1 with 3.08s and open diff. With a dynomax rear section, I managed to run a 15.71 with the same exact conditions...Exhaust helps!

My car must be a freak then. :D 15.3 with just an Aceel cool blue air filter, ravin muffler, and removed air silencer. After the catco highflow cat and the 3inch AT system 14.85. ;)
