• SLP Loudmouth for the 3.8

We are now offering the SLP Loudmouth exhaust for 3800 V6 cars. This system isn't made for the V6 so it wouldn't be a direct bolt-on from the manufacturer but it can be done. This will be a good way to upgrade to a highflow stainless steel exhaust without the higher price of some of the other systems available.

Info that we list is -

SLP's new exhaust system was created for the F-car owner who's looking for more power and a tough musclecar-like sound, but not at the cost of comfort or reliability. This new exhaust system can offer up to a 25 hp gain on a V8 but we haven't done any testing on a V6 car. Manufactured from stainless steel with your choice of either a 304-stainless-steel, 3.5" slash cut or dual/dual tips, SLP's new exhaust system caters to those looking for both increased performance and enhanced appearance.

NOTE: This system isn't designed for the V6 cars but can be installed with slight modifications. The installation kit listed below is required and an 02 bung will need to be installed into the pipe. There isn't a fitment warranty for this product but it can be a good mod for the person who doesn't mind doing some true "hot rodding" to make it work.

A stock LS1 will usually see a 15-18hp increase (more on a modified car). I'd expect the V6 to see about 10-12hp from this upgrade.

Pictures can be found in the V6 exhaust section of our website.

BTW, Tom, you want some dyno testing? I can see what Atlanta Chassis Dyno can do for me. I have a baseline number already in this weather...

It looks like Rich might have been one of the first to do this mod

Dyno numbers would be good if you have them. We usually see 15-18hp on the LS1 cars so I'd be interested in seeing exactly what it would do on a V6.

Hey BlackSwordsman, drop me an email about when you're going to ACD. I'll meet you up there.

                    Tom,

I need to wash the car before taking pictures of the thing, but I have some really nice jackstands I can place it on (if I don't get pics at the dyno). I'll try to get pics of the S-pipe through tips (Aftermarket).

I'm thinking the exhaust, once I get my SLP CAI filters replaced and the car tuned up, will have produced around 10-12 horses at the wheels easily. The car pulls significantly harder at all RPM ranges...

                    R

BTW, Tom...you no longer sell the SLP Cold Air Induction filters separately? #21035 I think...it's no longer listed.

Tom, Try to get a GP or a special happening on the loudmouth. I'm thinking about getting that instead of the GMMG since it's half the price. I'd be ordering it within the next month for my birthday.
