    what did you use? i got 3 inch pvc pipe already.. is that big enough?

    I made one out of PVC, and it sucks. I have read that PVC gives off poison gas when it is heated up too.

    I have a SLP CAI on order, and I would not suggest setting yours up the way I did mine, but here is the link anyways.

        what about for the bend?


        im gonna make it shaped how the slp one is shaped..

          what are some good 3inch cone filters i can use that are cheaper than K&N?

            I did mine with 2 3" rubber elbows and a piece of 3" pvc... i just boiled the PVC so that it would eat up and i could bend it to fit between the radiator and the brake blah... works nicely... I also put a scoop under the car to help bring in more cold air

                i am contemplating going to the muffler shop and seeing if they can get me a 3" mandrel bent pipe that way i don't have to worry about fumes and stuff. BTW, what size K&N filter do i need to use? and where can i get an extender for the IAT sensor??

                    well, i eventually ordered an slp cai just because i'm extremelly paranoid about things with my car; and even now i'm extremely paranoid with the $200 slp setup, and am constantly thinking my filters are just going to randomly fall off. anyway, here's a link to my custom setup and how to do it--it's a pretty good custom intake, there are a few drawbacks, like where the intake sits and how it sits and such. but i drove a good 2 months--1500 miles with it and it never gave me problems; i just up and decided to get the slp cai one day. here's the link:
