  • catback question (HELP GUYS)

Okay guys, the first thing I purchased for my 01 V6 Camaro was a magna muffler which uses my stock pipes which I believe is 2.5 right guys (correct if me I'm wrong)? But now I wish I got the full catback.

My question is can I make my magana muffler to a full catback system? If so please explain how I can do that. I asume I would need a muffler shop to make one for me right? Or can I buy the pipes online somewhere? I just added mid-tube pacesetters and catco high cat flow and it sounds great. But won't it sound better by making it a full catback system? Please help me out guys.

yes you could buy some prebent pipes and do alot of cutting and welding to make your own catback, though by the time you are done you could just buy a flowmaster from summit and be done with it. if you want to go with a 2.5 inch catback go with that.

I think I want to go with a 3" catback pipe. What do you mean by summit? How much will it cost to convert my magna muffler to a full catback? I love my magnaflow and what I have been hearing alot and been told from a guy that owns a muffler shop that flowmaster doesn't sound that great on a V6. So that is why I went with a magnaflow.

buy some 3in, or whatever size pipe you want, unbolt the piping from the cat and pull the whole system off, use those pipes as a template to bend the pipes you bought.
better hope you have some mechanic friends with a pipe bender.
something like that at our old shop would be something like 200 installed, and that was on a hookup.
