OK.. this has more than liekly been covered before on ehre but I can't seem to find it under search since i gotta be a bit specific.. I have a 96 3.8 Camaro and want to get a dual exhaust system. I've decided that FLowmaster is the way to go and want to buy it all as one kit to do teh install myself. THe local shop here (who wants to charge me $400 to change sparkplugs.. LMAO) says that you can't put dual exhaust on my car that it will mess it up since i've seen (and heard) people doign it on here I knwo he's a compelte idiot. So where is teh best place to buy a complete kit from online. I've tried summit but can't find what I need? any help guys?

Summit should have what your looking for. If you were looking for a 3in catback flowmaster it would take a little modification to the spipe if you were doing it yourself. If you wanted the 2.5inch flowmaster catback designed for our cars you shouldn't have any trouble. Summit carries any of these systems. I bought the one designed for the LT1 the 17143 and it costed me $280 shipped (i ordered ground and it got to my house 2 days later).

I had an exhaust guy tell me it was impossible to do that to my car too.... guess what I HAVE IT NOW. I was going to get Flowmasters at the time but then fell in love with the Loudmouth exhaust from SLP and bought that off of tbyrne.com got it in a couple of days and one of my dads friends put it on for free. Sounds very good. I just need to get either a high flow cat or cut mine out and replace it with either a bullet muffler or just straight pipe. Bottom line is it can be done fairly easily.

give summit a call... they have the 2-1/2" cat-back that doesnt require any alterations.... SIMPLE install.... i did it. anyway, they dont list it in their catalog, but they do carry it. full cat back with 9" welded on tips ran me $260.... cheaper than my shop would put on a crappy replacement muffler!!

ellik was that a flowmaster americam thunder kit from summit? how long did it take to get it? jegs said that they can order one from flowmaster for 271 cheaper that alot of local shops but it will take 2-3 weeks for them to get it from flowmaster and then 5-6 days for it to get to me. want to get it faster thanks?

I think Dominic is putting true duals on his car, you might want to talk to him about it. If it's not too much and it sounds good, I might do the same.
