• flow 80 3-chamber to the dynomax?

i had a flow 40, it sucked, got a cheap replacement, but am looking for a better yet cheap muffler. I heard that if i could get a 3 chamber deltaflow from flowmaster, it would be 10X better than the 40, this true??? i would also consier dynomax, i have heard each of these on my computer each was crappy quality, and searched all throughout this site for decent sound files. NO LUCK... can someone send me or direct me to a good quality file of each??? I have 2.5 pipes.. so that should help it some too Thanks!

Can't help you on the sound files, but as for the mufflers themselves:

Flowmaster doesn't have a Deltaflow 80 Series. There is a Deltaflow 40 Series and a Deltaflow 50 Series. I'd just go with the 80 Series though if you're going to go Flowmaster.

I still don't have my Dynomax muffler on (no money for it at the moment...), but I've heard good things and am keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I'd get a 80 series. I love mine. There's a sound file in my sig... really bad quality, but still a sound file.

my evaluation of the flowmaster 80... sounds like a loud lawnmower at WOT when it's cold. once it gets warmed up it sounds pretty good. i actually like the sound when its warm. i'm embarassed when its cold though...

i have been wanting to get rid of my flow and try the dynomax. gotta take care of higher priority financial drains first though.

I completely agree. Although, I like the idle better when it's cold, much louder and more aggressive.

Yeah, when it's cool, the idle sounds mean. After it warms up the idle gets less deep, and the WOT gets better. heh

theres a sound clip of mine floating around here somewhere, look up "flowmaster clip" or somethin. i have 3" dynomax piping with the 80 series flowmaster. sometimes i have to pop the hood before people believe that its only a 6!!

go with dynomax. At first I thought it sounded like *** compared to flows but now it has finally broken in and oh man. It doesn't sound like a V8 but d@mn does it sound like a mean V6. Especially if I give it a lot of throttle while in 2nd gear. Almost sounds blown with the !FRA. It's a low grunty howl of a sound. It's friggen awesome. Plus on highway cruising the exhaust is quiet inside the car which is a plus. Get on the gas and it can be just as loud as flows.
