After ordering their overpriced ram air box under the V6 page I found out that the intake kit is for the LT1  Is there anyway that I can fit it to my 96 3.8??? Anyone ever done this?

Well, I'm not quite sure which type you mean. If you mean the ram air that goes next to the radiator, then no it won't fit your car. It will only fit 98+. If it's a black box then that's the air lid and no you can't adapt that either. What you need is the SLP cold air induction.

You should either call T-Byrne and try to get your money back or ask if you can trade for something else like gears or something. The third option is you could sell it. But, you might have to take a hit on that.

To check what is for your car use the mod encyclopedia. That way you can get the product numbers for what you want and so you can see what is for you model and year.

I was hoping to get a ram air system that hooks up to the hood (ss style) and goes right from there through the ra airbox, etc... to the TB. Are there any kits that fit a 96 3.8??

Check the SLP site, they have a 96-97 ram air hood and airbox for the Firebird, maybe they also have one for a Camaro.

It will not fit right. Get what you payed for. I posted all those terrible things about TByrne and people still buy from him. He is the most expensive dealer out there. Why would you buy from him?

I ordered a tri-flo and cat one time and 4 weeks later nothing. Not even an email. The cat got here, but so what? I have to wait to install it all at once. So I cancel my tri-flo order and he charges me $150 for cancelling. Countless emails to the gready bastage and he just tells me tough luck. Restocking fee. He obviously doesn't stock it. And I now can't return my $200 high flo cat cause it's been 4 weeks.

I'm going to include this in my sig so people know.

I bought my borla rear section from T-byrne's garage sale section. I had no problems with Tbyrne. Guess I was lucky.

Hey Dom, maybe you should try contacting the better business bureau, tell them your situation and see what they say. That's just some rotten a$$ business. We need to bash his company all over the net.

This happened like 4 years ago. At that time I didn't know any better. :( I have recently contacted the BBB with more recent rip-offs. If this happened recently I would have definitely taken action. That was back in fbody.com days. I did bash him a ton back then, even the admin of that board stood up for me.

Well to let you know Dom they gave me a full refund on the order b/c they were at fault and even sugessted a few places to look at. But I do agree that they are overpriced.
