  • Difference in V6 and V8 Borla Exhausts

Is there any differences in a V6 and a V8 Borla Exhaust? Just wondering.

v6 borla exhaust pipe diameter is smaller then the v8 borla exhaust. They both fit.

the V6 borla is 3", so according to your theory what is the V8 pipe diameter?

could it be that LS1's have two cats so therefore a cat back system might be different maybe?

I remember seeing that the v6 was 2.5" and the v8 was 3" that's what borla's site says anyway.

They are both 3 inch, the 95 and newer V8 cars have 2 cats. 93-95 V8 have single cat and would fit but hangers are a bit different.

I called their tech support line before ordering mine. I don't remember if they said the v6 was 2.5 or 2.75. They definitely told me that the the v6 pipe is smaller. And that there is no difference in hangers between the two systems they sell. The v8 is definitely 3", and that's what I ended up ordering and putting on my car back in May.

The single or dual cat question doesn't directly affect any of this, because after the dual cats, the y-pipe still comes together into one pipe. Then the catback hooks on...
