I think that the CIA are a little expensive but when you have to install those RK Sports you'll remmember what many people will and have siad since the beginning of my membership to FBV6. RK Sports are a huge PITA!!!! They Leak, they don't fir right in most cases, and the y-pipe isn't up to par either. I wouldn't pay $500 for headers that SUCK! I paid $670 for good headers with an exceptional y-pipe. Also, from what I have heard, the y-pipe maybe even more important power wise than the headers themselves. Your call. I don't work for CIA, but will I ever advertise the SH** outta their products because they know how to make a good set of headers. :eek:Red 1999 Firebird M5
Whisper Lid,Borla Catback,K&N,Dual Friction Center Force Clutch,Hurst Shifter w/Lou\'s Short Stick,!FRA,Suncoast Ramair hood,160 Thermo,!maf,Chrome ZO6 Wheels, Painted Calipers, CIA Headers, Taylor Wires, NGK Spark Plugs, 3\" Catco, Jet Chip Stage II, BMR STB, LCA, PHR, SFC, Fan Switch, FTRA
Old Dyno Numbers: 183 RWHP, 217 RWTRQ
http://community.webshots.com/user/redsixer

So whats wrong with the RKSPORT Y pipe? Wouldnt you think the RKSPORT would be better because it has a larger Y pipe, 3 inch Vs. 2.5. And the cost of welding the Y pipe to the header is free. I have a shop I can use that has all the tools to do this. So $500 vs. $670 = I still choose rksport. And RKSPORT is ceramic coated where the CIA is not.

Boy are you miss informed! The CIA y-pipe is a 3" manderl-bent pipe, which is 10 better than the RK Sport one. And on top of that the CIA headers do have a 2000 degree ceramic coating. You can call Dan in Seattle if you want to make sure of that. Not breathing down your neck or anything just updating your knowledge. Wow thanks. I was just reading what I seen on his website. I thought I read that the ceramic coating was $800 and the painted are $670. Guess I was wrong. I will look into cia maybe these are for me. Is it easier to do a plug change with the CIA headers?

In two words, HELL YEAH!
These headers provide plenty of clearance.
