um, i dont remember anyone saying they wouldnt fit. hundreds of V8 guys run 3 inch true duals.

i do remember people saying its overkill, and will probally sound like crap. and their dumped so im sure its just stupid/annoyingly loud and raspy.( and yes i relize you have a cam. cam = louder exhuast too ) and you just loose more power down low dumping them at the axle i would think.

            we need a sound clip.

Ok mr. stock camaro... Dumping a muffler has nothing to do with rasp. I havent heard any v6 on here that sounds half as good IMO. I'll get a clip next week when its back together.

Most exhaust shops you call wont do them because they say they wont fit. I've seen a few dual set ups where the muffer tips are about 2in. off the ground. No BS.

I saw a couple grand prix's with duals and they sounded pretty nice.

uh hey bud, i just turned 15. 15 = no " real " job. im 15 and own my own car.i was 14 when i bought it. i didnt mean to sound like a smart *** if thats how it sounded.

in other news, even V8's get raspy when their dumped. ls1sounds.com search ls1tech, they'll tell you. dumped means loud and rapsy and usaully drones alot. MOST TIMES. your's might sound good, i hope it does. car's with a cam do sound better than one's with out a cam, maybe thats why you havent heard any other good ones.

I didnt down his comment because he has a stock car, its because it is in no way true. Having a car without an exhaust system how would he know what a dumped one would sound like. Dumping a muffler will not make it raspy.

It sounded kinda smart to me. I've had it both ways, dumped, pipes, on different cars. I've had freinds that have gone from pipes to dumps. It makes no difference, there is some difference in sound but it is not rasp.

I've heard a stock v6 with 2in true duals through moroso spiral flows. Probaly the best stock engine v6 fbody i've heard. It was dumped. Was very smooth.

Rasp has to do with what kind of muffler you are running. Some mufflers make rasp more noticable and louder. Some mufflers take it away and make it unnoticable.

"You act like Loser's a newb and you put him down for having a stock camaro, even though he Restored the damn car..."

                        - I've done a little work on mine myself.

rasp doesnt always have to do with the muffler...

Cats reduce it too. Amount of rasp has ALOT to do with what muffler you run. Different internals make different sounds.

nobody said true dual wouldnt fit. We've had people on the board do it. It was a big deal... then he took it off because he didnt like it.
