I'm not saying it was like a challenge to do and everyone said it was impossible. No one said they couldnt fit.

I'LL STATE IT AGAIN ... Most exhaust shops you call wont even do them, I had about 5-6 places tell me you cant put them under there. Thats why I just put the title like that, and the caption stuff it I put there because they are stuff up in there, 5in. round mufflers. There are about 3 out of 100 that will do them in Tulsa.

I just posted it for reference to anyone who wants to see pics in the future.

Maybe they were talking about trying to go true duals all the way out the back. It looks like it wouldn'twork that way, but yours looks pretty slick. Like my friends nova.

I'm glad it sounds great and things are working out, i was doubtful at the beginning as far as it being overkill

think you could get more pics black sport. im interested in the front. do u have headers? do you have cats? or did you just ditch the Y pipe completely? what mufflers are you running?

and it is possible to run true duals all the way out the back. you can go over the axle , or under it. its quiter and deeper, and more refined usaully. people have taken dumped duals an then added on to them and liked it even more. dauls sound great on ls1/lt1 motors. im very interested in what blacksports sounds like. and yes, good job seems like your happy with them.

Ya I can get more pics. Right now I need to take them back to the shop to get hung right. They arent as pretty either, rear main gave them a nice brown tint.

No Y pipe, No Cats. Borla XR-1 Mufflers. I don't know, I'd of like to run them ouf the back if possible. The place said they couldnt do it because the didnt want to risk the axle crushing them.

My car is loud as hell is the only problem. I want to make it quieter. 2 1/2 is probaly over kill. When i get some more money I want to get some new ones run, 2 in and flowmaster hush powers. And maybe some of those cones that reduce noise. I'll get an idle clip tomorrow. It developed a leak where the header comes onto the pipes i need to fix before i get up a moving sound clip. Sounds like a damn rod lol :D

i bet just adding hi-flow cats will make it easyer to live with. they'll help with rasp you may have too. i agree, 2 1/2 duals is probally over-kill for our engines. regardless of mods.

i'd get cats before changing mufflers, those mufflers you have on now are pretty quite. and from what ive read those cones kill the flow of your exhuast.

i'd just add cats then, run them out the back. under the axle will be easy/cheap. but for ground clearance your better off going over the axle.

heres a few pics of 2 1/2 and 3" exhuast's going over the axle. maybe you could show them to your exhuast shop and see if they want to try. i think you need some sort of relocation bar but im not 100% sure.

Those mufflers are pretty much straight through. Its louder than most cars with a cut out. Those cones would help add some back pressure to my huge exhaust is what i was shooting for, along with making it quieter.

Ya cats would make it less raspy but its not to bad. Those XR1s take out most of it believe or not. Atleast compared to my Flow I used to have.

I have thought about putting cats on it though. I have the 5in round XR1's, some people around here may call them resonators.

everyone know, at least outside of this site that true duals fit just fine if you dump them before the axels but there is no way to do true duals all the way back and most shops won't do them cause most state regulation require where the exhaust dumps to be clear of the passanger compartment and before the axles don't fulfill that requirment

not true at all, someone here has done it before on a six, I believe he ran both pipes down one side of the car over the axle then even though it was ugly had two flowmasters hanging of the back, hideous but he did because everyone said it couldnt be done, then everyone ragged on him, but he did it, granted it wasnt 3in pipe nor was it practical but it was done...do some research and you might find the pics. ;) oh ya and the exhaust looks pretty good, me and my buddy did the same thing to his 5.0 sounded damn good, deafening but good, interested how loud yours is going down the highway ;)

lol people that dont read the whole thread before making a post.... good pics loser... if ya dont feel like opening these pics up, they show very clearly that you can take true duals either over or under the axle.... so it can be done, but its just finding some place to do it... looks to me like the exhaust would come out outside of the passenger compartment... come on now... lets read before we post.. this is directed towards yellowfbod by the way...

I was thinking of doing true duels be they were going to be too loud i thin since they were both to come out on both sides of the car righ before where rear wheel fender starts, so i gave up.
Hats off to anyone who has done it or planning on doing it.
