  • Cutout that opens when car reaches a certain RPM

Ok... when I had my Camaro I put a cutout on it. It was the manual kind the screwed/unscrewed on/off. But... I have a friend who told me about a cutout that will open when your car hits a certain RPM and then close when the car is below that. Does anybody know what he's talking about or where I can get one?

Well, the new zo6s have a diaphragm style exhaust that opens up to the 3’ exhaust when enough flow is formed by getting on it. Never heard of being able to buy them but those types of things are out their.

i know theres a ferrari(enzo?) that does something similar. it uses mufflers until a certain rpm and then bypasses the mufflers into a straight pipe. not sure how its done though.

How about a Borla with an electric cutout wired into the TPS circuit.

              X2.

I've seen something like that wired with 2 servo's.

I would be much easier to run it using a RPM activated window switch. Those switches are not all that expensive.
