I finally chose a company to order my Pacesetter Armor Coat Headers. It took a lot more investigating and phone calls than I think that it should just to order some car parts.
I was initially going to go w/ JC Whitney, then I read Ted's horror story. When I called and talked w/ them and told them the part # I was interested in they told me it was for a '78 Buick, so the website is wrong! Don't order Pacesetters from JC Whitney!!!!
I called ammperformance and talked to them. They were nice and had their stuff together a lot better than JC, but he told me that it would take 3-4 MONTHS to get Ceramic coated. I think he told me this to try to get me to buy the black steel ones that he had in stock. JC told me it would take 4 weeks to get a ceramic coat header. I didn't go here.
I finally went to auto-exhaust.com. I called and talked to them and they seemed to know their stuff pretty well. I asked how long it would take to get them and they said 4 weeks. The reason being is that they are shipped directly from Pacesetter and have to be made w/ the armor coat. They also carry the black steel in stock.
I went with auto-exhaust.com, I hope that they are a decent company. They were the most expensive, but they seemed to have it together. So, hopefully it is worth it. Anyway, they are not that expensive in the world of headers.
Of course, I went with the ceramic coat!!
