• My headers are on!

And I like them! :D I still have to take it to a shop to have them weld the y-pipe and the rest of my catback. So I've been running open headers for a couple days :D I really like how it sounds at idle, and when I'm getting on it! Just thought I'd share

Actually it took us a little longer then we wanted it too LOL We started late in the day and wasn't able to finish them the first day because we ran out of light. I don't have very good light in the garage, so we just waited until the next day. Then we got everything done, and it had some backfire, so we had to look into some things. Well come to find out all it was, was me and my buddy being stupid and we didn't label the plug wires. So they were on the wrong plugs (doh LOL) Yeah I know a dumb mistake. The rest of it was pretty much just time comsuming and knuckle busting! LOL

What do you have now? 3.4? They were really not all that hard though.

Ok, I got some questions now. Please bare with me, 'cause I don't know a whole lot about this. I have read in several posts that the flanges on the rksport headers will leak. Now this is in reference to the place where the headers connect to the y-pipe, is that correct?

Here's why I ask. I went to have my exhaust welded back today, and when they finished and I started it I could hear the leak. So they put it back up and showed me where the gaskets were already blown out at spots. So is that where they weld them to prevent this? The guy was hesitant to do this because he questioned if the headers would ever needed removed???

Also, something else I'm pretty upset about. I knew the car would get quiter when they welded my exhuast back (doh), but now it's quiter then it was BEFORE I had the headers now????? Why would that be? It really sucks!

                Any help please?
