  • Can someone help me out??

I live in southern IL and i have looked EVERYWHERE around here for someone to hook up some pacesetter headers. Alot of guys say yea we do header installation, then i tell them i have a 3.8L 99 firebird, after that they put their tail between their legs. if there is someone who can help me out I would be VERY grateful. thanks

yea the only problem is i got them off a wrecked 2000 camaro so the guy who took them off tore the gaskets and didn't ship the y-pipe. so do you have a link where i can get steel gaskets and do i have to have a custom y-pipe made for them. $45 cousins auto-body garage. I have searched for links for gaskets no luck yet do you know of any that just sells gaskets?? Thanks for your time.

You may want to try an auto parts store. Last time I checked they stocked exhaust gaskets of all kinds.

I have not installed Pacesetter headers but it would be my guess that any exhaust gasket made for the 99 Firebird 3.8 would fit. Don't take my word for it though.... just thought that I would throw an idea out there in case no one else chimes in.

The ports on the stock manifolds and on the headers are different so you should not use stock shaped gaskets. Try getting another set from pacesetter or something. Then I'd say install them yourself and drive open headers to an exhaust shop for the y-pipe.
