Will a high flow catalytic converter make my 80 series flowmaster sound better and louder on my 1996 3.8L irebird?

much louder. I have the 80 series on my 3.4 and when my cat went bad, I replaced it with an aftermarket 2.5" cat. Our factory cats are dual chamber which will muffle the sound down a bit and cause a little added back pressure. I think all aftermarket cats are single chamber like mine which carries obvious results but I wouldn't get too excited about any performance gains (little to none). My car is loud as hell now!!!! Actually it probably won't make a huge difference. I put headers and a high flow cat on my car at the same time, and there wasn't much difference between the before/after.
