I will have a cam in my 3.4 camaro hopefully within the next few weeks, and someone told me that i shouldn't run a catalytic converter with it because i will be passing so much air/ pollutants by that it will become clogged, is this true? Will running a cat hinder my performance. btw i have a 2.75 I pipe, with dual 2.5 tails out of a dynomax supertubo muffler. i have a catco hi flo 2.5 in-out cat currently on the car. if i decide no cat, should i get a dynomax bullet, or will it sound good

I removed mine because with a big cam, I didn't want to choke the exhaust at all.- Josh<br />If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com<br /><a href=\"http://Camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/viper98885\" target=\"_blank\">\'93 Camaro Hardtop</a><br /><a href=\"http://Camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/01lincolnls8\" target=\"_blank\">\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport</a><br />\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6<br /><a href=\"http://www.ftpp.net\" target=\"_blank\">Full Throttle Performance</a>

If there are more pollutants they would suggest to me that you aren't getting a full burn which would be bad.
I don't think that person knew what he was talking about.
Just get a high flow cat, CATCO or Carsound would be a good choice. Flow is good and you won't be hindering performance (maybe a few hp with a high flow cat, but not enough to be concerned about).SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)
