No emissions doesn't mean no cat isn't illegal. Not trying to rag on you about moral issues....but just so you know.

Yeah, just be careful running with no cat. If it;s illegal in your area and you get pulled over or caught without it, BIG FINES!

What you should do it take your stock cat and Straight-Pipe it. Same effect as off-raod pipe, but it Looks like you still have a cat! ;)

Its illegal everywhere in the US. Its a federal law. I would put an electronic cutout before the cat if I were you. That way you can open it up to race and close it on the road to remain legal.

i forgot to mention that im putting the shell of the cat over the off road pipe.

other than that.. where i am. cops are strict with loud exhausts...... they actually like it.

every time i was pulled over. they complimented my exhaust but that it should be louder.. its nice to know the sherrif in town

Having no cat is illegal all together and you will fail inspection with that setup.

They are strict with loud exhaust, yet they want your exhaust louder??

                  not where i am.

which is a plus about living in south florida.

there are MANY cars here where i am, from civics to LS1's running open headers for their exhaust. cops never bother to bug them.

plus ill still have a muffler at least

I think he meant "not strict".

Putting the shell of the cat over the ORP is a good idea. That way, they can't tell you don't have cats (you pass visual), and you don't have to worry about the actual emissions.

Just because you don't have emissions doesn't mean that the DMV or Popos won't look under your car and be able to realize you don't have a cat. Good luck getting a shop to do all this for you too.
