This group purchase is for Design Engineering Inc's new Cryogenic Intake
System. This system was voted best new performance product by SEMA in 2002
and is now ready for sale in 2003. The CryO²™ is a revolutionary new, award winning product designed to reduce the temperature of the air/fuel intake charge thus creating power. Through the science of aerodynamics and cryogenics Design Engineering has developed a system to harness the cryogenic properties of liquid Co2 to lower the air/fuel intake charge by up to 60%. The system is modular and can be easily expanded. The CryO²™ system provides two methods of cooling the air charge and one method of cooling the fuel charge all utilizing the same burst of liquid Co². Co² is readily available at any welding supply shop or where paintball guns are charged.
You can purchase a full kit or only the components you want which include the tank and install kit, cryogenic air intake, cryogenic fuel bar, and intercooler sprayer. Below is a description of each component.
Tank and installation kit - The foundation to every CryO²™ System. Must have this kit to utilize CryO²™ components. The kit includes a 5 pound Co² tank, cryogenic solenoid valve, all necessary fittings, 14 ft. stainless steel hose, full wide open switch, arming switch, and wiring kit. Only one kit is needed to operate all the CryO²™ components.
Cryogenic Air Intake - The CryO²™ Air Intake consists of an aerodynamically design bulb with a cryogenic chamber which is mounted in a 4" segment of air tube. As the air passes over the bulb heat is removed from the air charge resulting in a colder, denser more powerful charge. Dyno testing showed a reduction in intake air temperature of more than 35%. The CryO²™ Air Intake can be used on tubocharged, supercharged or naturally aspirated applications. Multiple units can be used for colder results. Installs in minutes and comes with silicone connection sleeve, hose clamps and connection/vent hose.
Intercooler sprayer - The CryO²™ Intercooler Sprayer mounts directly to the front of the intercooler or aftercooler and vents the liquid Co² directly onto the cooling fins thus enhancing the performance of the intercooler by more than 50%. This component must always be the last in the CryO²™ system as it vents the liquid Co² charge.
Cryogenic Fuel Bar - The CryO²™ Fuel Bar is a billet aluminum extension to the fuel line with a cryogenic chamber. The bar is charged with liquid Co2 and freezes to -80 degrees f. Heat is removed from the fuel as it passes through resulting in a colder fuel charge. The CryO2™ Fuel Bar comes in -6AN and -10AN (can be reduced for -8AN) fuel line size. Four cryo-ports allow versatility of installation. Comes complete with vent plug, cryo-port plugs and connection/vent hose. The CryO²™ Fuel Bar can be used alone or in conjunction with other Co2 components. It comes either anodized or polished with engraved DEI flame logo.
Prices are as follows:
-Tank and install kit = 350.00
-Cryogenic Intake Cooler = 139.00
-Intercooler Spray bar (16"x5") = 89.95
-Intercooler Spray bar (8"x4") = 79.95
-Cryogenic Fuel Bar (red, blue, purple, or polished) = 120.00

what in the world is this? does anyone want to make guesses on how beneficial it would be? how safe it would be?
