  • Just had my Catco installed

I bought the 6007 (3in. in-3in. out) and man, do I love it. At first I didn't notice anything different, but whenever the mechanic took my car off the ramps...wow :D . It sounds a whole lot meaner, is about 50% louder, and has a deeper, more crisp growl to it. It's gonna take a while to break in but man, it sounds sweet and it hurts my ears at about 4K. Where'd you buy it from? And how much did it cost for the Catco, and to get it installed?

bout it from summit for $64.29 (got 2 day air) and it cost $60 to get it installed because they had to cut some of the pipe from the manifolds and weld on a custom 3 inch pipe because the catco is shorter than the stock cat.

That's what I thought..But I put it in "Enter Summit part #" ..and no matches were found with that #.. I can't find any 3"-in 3"-out cats from summit.

Here is the cat I bought. I have it sitting in my garage. I'm waiting until I buy a set of headers before I go and weld it in place.

So the Cat did make your exhaust louder? I wanna get a 3" in/out catco because my exhaust is too damn quiet. I also had a 2.5" i pipe and it still only as loud as stock. I'm sure the cat will make it a helluva lot louder.

wow dude you got ripped. I paid $54 shipping but I did ground. However on installation...OUCH. I had to get a pipe extender done as well but it cost me only $30 for the install.

Will that O2 sensor bung stop the SES light? Also how many exhaust clamps and bungs would you need to order?

the O2 sensor bung is just something that the O2 sensor screws into... kinda like a nut. you put this nut like thing in your bung hole and screw the O2 sensor into it. ;)

It's really loud and gurgly, really nice sounding but it buzzes after 4000 rpms, but oh it does sound crisp and v8ish
