  • exhaust and header combo

I already have the American Thunder Flowmaster exhaust, and I was thinking of doing headers eventually...I just found out that the county I moved to does not have emissions testing, so what is the best intake/exhaust combo for me?

Pacesetters are probably the best for the price, only like $250 for powder coated isn't bad at all. RKSport headers blow the big one from what I've heard. I have heard CIA (clear image automotive) headers are really good, but they cost around $700.

ok for one, RK sports dont blow **** , they work pretty well for me and look great. but anyway, the best sound for the 3.8 is as follows....Rksport header followed by a 2.5' I pipe, NO cat, 2.5' S pipe leading to the 80 series flowmaster (Im sure the american thunder wouldnt be all that different). gives u a great V8 tone down low
SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm working on the interior appearance right now, then I'll be starting on headers ;)

So, I was on Pacesetters website

                http://www.pacesetterexhaust.com/hea...tail.htm#notes

And the years listed for our cars makes no sense. They have 1995-99, I am assuming that those are the ones I'd need for my car?

a 3" system would sound better. its known that the bigger the I pipe, the deeper the sound.
