I had considered putting an SLP CAI on my 96 3.8L Firebird. But I heard that if you are putting in more air in the engine, you need put more fuel into the engine also. So I looked up on Superchip website for the chip for my 3.8L and they dont make one. Is this true that more air, more fuel? Anybody have any suggestions or advice?

Don't worry about the fuel thing. WIth a simple mod like CAI, your computer is quite able to sense the change in the amount of air, and increase the pulse width of the injectors to compensate. The computer is good for up to 8 psi of boost on an engine. GM did an excellent job of making the computer able to learn and adapt with changes to the cars.1995 Firebird 3.8 A4, 140,000 miles and going strong
Basically Stock, college=poor
Junior Mechanical Engineering Student: Milwaukee School of Engineering; Cpl, MN Army National Guard...just got promoted :)

The computer will automatically adjust to add more fuel. So no need to worry yet.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A
