Just replaced the air silencer with the pvc pipe. It doesnt look too bad does it? I painted it black to make it look a little better.

I did this to mine a few months back, above 3k RPMs ull hear the intake sounds throatier. I love it, cept I was too lazy to paint it black, or remove the bar code sticker.

Thanks everybody. I did notice a little better sound when I hit it doing about 50. Next I'm gonna cut the thing on the bottom of the hood to have functional ram air. I'll get some pictures of that too when its done. I wanna find something to use as a screen though when it rains. That would suck if water got in there.

if you havent already, smooth the lid out. if you pull it off and look at it theres fins on the underside. just smash them out. makes a noticeable different.

Hey guys, I did the same thing but instead of PVC pipe my dad gave me the idea to use aluminum. So we went to this place he knew about and got an aluminum pipe that was 3 1/2in and put it in. Heres 2 pics.....
