  • Got my pacesetter headers today!

Iam getting them installed on the 20th. Does anybody know the part number for the stock manifold gaskets? My guy said we could just use my stock ones and I don't think that a good idea. Think i can get them at autozone?

cool. i would suppose autozone would have the gaskets for the manefolds..

but once again.. how much were the headers? cause i got money to spare. and wouldnt mind getting rid of my stock manifolds..

headers also make changing spark plugs a breeze

Goto ammperformance.com to get the stock gaskets. GMPartsDirect charges too much for shipping.

Yes if you want paper gaskets. I don't want these boys to leak so, iam doing all the things to help.

Iam still deciding if i want to remove the cat or get a 3inch catco. I have the o2 sim already and i hoping my resontor will keep it under a little control with no cat lol

Thanks for the part # tyler

                      Get pic's of them.

Old school hot rodder's trick with paper exhaust gaskets: soak them in water the night before. Install the next day. Start car, let it run for 15-20 min, shut off and retorque the bolts. Repeat this about 4 times and extend the run time of the engine.

Are you sure about that? It should be removeable from the headers!
